On starting business it is worthwhile to investigate for support facilities.
No financial public support is granted to new businesses unless it involves a unique and/or innovative product/concept.
Basically, you should not count on direct financial support to your new business.
From the very start you must gain a stable economic situation as fast as possible which is also necessary, even under financial support, as nobody wants to invest in a non-profitable project/concept.
Various support schemes exist:
Free Counselling
The “only” general support scheme for entrepreneurs is free pre-start-up counselling.
The scheme offers free counselling by an entrepreneur consultant prior to starting up business.
Counselling will assist you in finding ways of raising external funds for starting up, if this is an option – alternatively, the consultant will guide you in achieving the most suitable financing of your start-up.
You can also get free post and pre -start counselling by consulting by your "kommune" or one of the five regional Væksthuse (Growth House).
Innovation Centres
Innovation centres were established to provide better assistance to realising sound concepts and make them profitable. At the centres, innovative entrepreneurs, hereunder researchers and students, are offered assistance to developing promising new concepts, research results and inventions towards commercial sustainability.
In practice each project is entitled to Dkr. 1,4 mio. to improve and establish a concept. You can read more about how to qualify for project funding on the innovation centres’ web sites.

Danish Growth Fund
The Danish Growth Fund (DGF) offers financial support to start-up as well as development of existing minor enterprises. DGF typically offers up to a 50% funding of a given activity. Under the auspices of DGF you will find a series of financial products tailored to various purposes.

Development Companies
Furthermore, there are a variety of development companies offering a kind of government guarantee. Such development companies typically focus on a specific trade or industry or address a single target group among small and medium sized companies. Special Circumstances
Special circumstances may entitle you to financial support to starting up and running business. Such funding may come from private funds and trusts, support schemes within a specific trade, geographic location (structural funds), etc.
